The Y-Bridge

The Y-Bridge crosses the junction of the Licking and Muskingum Rivers in the center of Zanesville. The original bridge was built in 1814; the current bridge was renovated in 1986, and has received worldwide attention. Back in the days when airplane pilots relied on landmarks for their bearings, Amelia Earhart called Zanesville "the most recognizable city in the country" because of the Y-Bridge. Going Eastbound, Hwy 40 makes a right turn in the middle of the bridge.
